What's New on Terrachow: ChowRush, the Garage, Chow Moments and Live Order Tracking

Most food apps only matter when you're hungry. You open them, order, wait, and close them again.

We wanted Terrachow to be worth opening between meals too: somewhere you can play, earn and share, without losing sight of the thing that matters most, which is getting good food to your door.

This update brings the biggest set of new features we've shipped in one go. Here's what's new, and how to make the most of it.

ChowRush: play a delivery, earn real points

ChowRush is a delivery game built into the Terrachow app. You ride a Terrachow courier through real streets in Tanke, Ilorin and Yaba, Lagos, collect a meal from a real restaurant such as Sunnaj Restaurants, Abis Cravings or Chef Olaa, and race it to the customer before the clock runs out.

Finish a delivery and you earn real Terrachow points, the same points you redeem for free delivery and other perks. Missions run from a quick 10-point Short delivery up to the 50-point Advanced challenge, and a 75-point Batch delivery unlocks once you've finished the Advanced challenge. Points are added after each delivery is checked, up to 250 a day and 2,500 per ChowRush campaign, so they stay fair for everyone.

So what do the points get you? 200 points is a free drink, 1,000 is a free delivery, and 3,000 gets you free delivery for a whole day. A few good days of riding can cover your next delivery fee.

This update makes every ride feel different:

Weather and time of day. Each ride now gets its own conditions: clear days, harmattan haze, rain, fog and night rides with your headlight cutting through the dark.
Close calls and combos. Slip past traffic with very little room to spare for a "Close call!" or "Razor close!", and chain them for combos up to ×5.
Crashes you'll feel. Hit a car and the bike goes down, the food box bursts open, and the jollof ends up on the road. Ride carefully: a crash ends the delivery.
Exhaust and flames. Open the throttle in third-person view and the exhaust shows it.

Not into tilting your phone? You can steer by touch, switch between first-person and third-person views, and turn on automatic throttle.

The Garage: make the rider yours

Every ride now also earns Chow Coins: one coin for every 10 points of Ride score. A good delivery earns about 100 coins.

Spend them in the new Garage on looks for your rider and bike: a green-white-green helmet, an Ankara-print food box, a royal purple jacket, gold flake paint and more. Tap any look to try it on before you buy.

Chow Coins are separate from your Terrachow points. Points stay for food and delivery; coins are just for looking good on the road.

Chow Moments: your meal, but make it a scene

When your food arrives, open the order in Orders and tap Snap your meal ✨. Snap a photo of your meal, pick a scene (Lagos rooftop, candle-lit dinner, beach picnic, garden café or Terrachow pop) and our AI serves your actual meal in that setting.

Share it with friends straight from the app; sharing earns you bonus points. Every Chow Moment you make is saved under Profile → My Chow Moments, and scenes now load faster, with a clear "Loading your scene…" while they arrive.

Live order tracking on your iPhone lock screen

On iPhone, your order now follows you outside the app. After you order, a card appears on your lock screen (and in the Dynamic Island on newer iPhones) showing the restaurant, where your order is, your rider's name and, once the rider is on the way, your delivery PIN, so it's ready when they reach your door.

It updates by itself as your order moves, and clears once your food is delivered. You can turn it off any time in your iPhone's Settings → Terrachow → Live Activities.

Small changes that make ordering feel safer

Changed your mind? Cancel within 5 minutes. As long as the restaurant hasn't started preparing your food, you can cancel from the order screen. If you paid in the app, the refund goes straight back to your Terrachow wallet.
See who's bringing your food. Once a rider is assigned, their name and number appear on your order.
Clearer updates. If an item in your order can't be made, we'll tell you which one and why, and any refund lands in your wallet.
